18:00: College by Daniël Telgen (lector Robotics en Sensoring)  and Matthijs Smakman (teacher Hogeschool Utrecht / PhD candidate VU Amsterdam)

Daniël’s experienced in several industries (space, greenhouse, manufacturing) and holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering (HTS Haarlem), a master in intelligent systems (Dalarna University, Sweden) and a PhD in the field of intelligent reconfigurable manufacturing robots (Utrecht University). Currently he is a professor (lector) in Robotization & Sensoring where he focuses on adding intelligence to machines. The mission of the centre of Applied Research for Technical Innovation is Technology – Human interaction & the resilient city.

Matthijs Smakman (MA) is a Lecturer at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and a PhD-candidate at VU University Amsterdam. He lectures in Human-Robot Interaction, Design Methods for Social Robots and Ethics of Technology. His PhD research concerns developing an empirically validated moral theory for applying social robot in education.

The GeT-LAB of the Active Aging lectorate of Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda is an exhibition and experience space for care technology with all sorts of robots.
